I've had my 05 5.7 4x4 for a month now and am ready to start upgrading a little. I want to pick up a CB muffler for it. Not interested in dual exhaust so will go with the SI/SO. Will any of them bolt right on using my stock exhaust? If so, which one? Am I right in that I need a 3" in 3"out?

 

any 3" in / 3" out muffler with be a direct fit, but you will need some 3" pipe for extensions, because cherry bombs are shorter than the stock muffler. They'll also require some welding. You can buy a muffler online, Summit usually has the best prices on Cherry Bombs that I've seen, and take it to an exhaust shop or weld it in yourself. A shop will probably charge you about $80 to swap mufflers and weld.
