Default another hid thread...

ok i bought a set off ebay...they come with two bulbs eac side...both h1....but one's hid...they have the ballast and wiring for the hid bulbs...but they work when the truck is off....but when it's on...they flicker and don't come on, i have no lamp out light inside....i tried to the cancellers....now what..here's the lights

yes, resistors, IDK have any links with me right now because Im on my phone but do a basic search and you will see LOTS of threads on this.

i picked up some resistors...and they're not working at all, they are 50w...they say on them...any other suggestions?

no relay..and i notice the resistors i have are 50w not 20..will that make a difference, and i think one of my ballasts croaked...doesn't wanna work at all now..even with the truck off

Sounds like you need to pack them up and ship them back.
Yes it makes a differnce on the resistors. with 50w resistors AND your 35wHID's are sucking 85w which will melt your wiring. I would check your fuses and replace the 50's with 20's.

well they flicker and shut off still..lol...and i think one ballast has gone to crap!..such a pain in the **** if you tell me

++ 1 with returning it if you cant get them working.

friend and I had the same issue, ended up returning them, got a new set that wasn't faulty - works fine now (loves to light up my bedroom window & wake me up too)
