Default New tires 315/70/17's

Hey folks,
I just got a great deal on some A/T BFG 315/70R 17's which is a 34.5" tire, with like 80% of the tread left. Does anyone have a set of tires this size on there chrome 17" oem wheels. Im worried that the tires may be to wide to fit the wheels. I would love a picture if you do.

What is the width of the chrome 17" oem? I have seen conflicting statements, 17x8 on some and 17x9 on others.

I realize I am gonna have to crank my t-bar a little keep them from rubbing, so you don't have to tell me.

They will cup out if they don't come off the rim first.

Well appearantly the wheels I pulled these tires off are 17x8 and the tires are fine, No cupping and they survived a wreck without coming off the rims. However, I have decided to go ahead and convince my wife to let me buy the 17x9 black and chrome wheels I have been wanting with the proper backspacing I need.

Anyone interested in a nice set of chrome 17" steelies? They have some nice 265/70/17 tires on them.

Ok been shopping around, There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of places with a large selection of wheels. Folks who bought wheels, Where you get your wheels?

I bought some 17x9 black Cragars from summitracing.com. Fast shipping and cheap, too. Of course they are just black steel wheels. But I like them....

Check tirerack.com, discounttire.com, jegs.com, etc....
