Question How much will it

Mellow out the exhaust tone by adding the cats back in? It is too loud for me right now. I love the outside rumble it has but inside the cab is just to loud. Plus I am drawing a lot of unwanted attention from neighbors/police and Im not even pushing it, just a light acceleration.

It'll be restricive, but not as mellow as you'd think. Better off changing mufflers for a mellow tone.

I guess mellow was the wrong term to use, I just need it to be refined a little more. I loved the exhaust without the headers on except it was a little to quiet still, but inside was almost perfect. Now the inside is loud but it has more of a raspy annoying loud to it.

Well hopefully that will do the trick, if not Im even thinking of getting an Aero AR30 high flow resonator to stick in the system to drop it a few decibels and keep the bulk of the performance gains

i'm with dog, i think they will get rid of some of the raspyness... you said you liked it before but it was just a little too quiet, well with the cats it should sound roughly the same but louder because of the headers

Thats what I hoping adding the cats will do, just clean up the tone a little. Right now its borderline annoying which is making me want to keep my foot out of the gas instead of giving it a little more.
