I had a misfire issue in cylinder 3. Put $1500 into trying to fix it. Ended up replacing the fuel rail all the fuel injectors spark plugs, coil packs, and Idle air control. and after all that it went away. My mechanic thought it was a valve problem so he called the local dealer to get a price on a valve. They had 12 in stock.

It's funny, the 4.7 seems to be hit and miss. A LOT of guys reporting major engine failures at relatively low miles, but at the same time there are many guys with well over 100k on them with no issues.
I personally know a Jeep Grand Cherokee owner and a Dak owner who both have over 200k miles on their 4.7s and they are still tight!!!
