Default 06 idle problem

Ok guys I am looking for help, I have an 06 dodge ram 2500 gas( hemi) auto trans, at 60,000 miles changed the factory trans fluid, with recommended Amsoil trans fluid.

first 10 miles after wards, when I stopped the truck, it stalled!

now it has done so over the past 3 weeks about 5 times, but the idle just isn't right, it drops down below 300 rpm and is a little ruff at times, but drives other wise fine!!

I am not sure if it was the trans fluid, or just happened at the same time !

I have no engine errors, and checking it with a code reader shows nothing!!

what do you all think it might be??

someone told me that it might be my amsoil I used, as it won't hold pressure as the factory stuff, but I was thinking that Amsoil should have been better than the factory stuff, but what do I know

Help here guys!
what you might think it is and what to try to resolve!!

Try cleaning the throttlebody. Build-up might be causing the blade to stick closed.

I just went through the same thing and the guys here helped out a lot!

I bet your transmission level is low, or one of the internal filters are leaking.

If not change your EGR valve, and clean the throttle body.

My bet is the fluid level, check it on level ground in N not park.

thanks for the ideas,
my trans fluid is right on, so thats not it, will have to try cleaning TB. any sugestions on best way to do that?
as for changing the EGR valve, will have to try to locate a new one first, will call the local NAPA store tomorrow, and see if they have one, or will I need to get from dealer??

like I said this seemed to happen the same day I had the trans fluid changed. but again, I checked the levl a few time now, hot and cold on level ground, after sitting for 5-10 minutes!

I was wondering if the fact I replaced it with syn, amsoil, instead of the factory fluid. I would think the amsoil is a better deal, but maybe the old stuff was thicker or something, as the amsoil seemed pretty thin when filling compared to the old stuff!

but thanks again and feel free to add any other things you might think of!

The factory ATF+4 is synthetic so no gain there.
