Default Looking to bye a new truck, pleae help.

Hey guys right now i have a 99 dodge dakota that a guy just gave me money down on and he's byeing it in a few days. Im looking to buy a ram 1500 hemi, 03-04 quadcab or what ever i find a good deal on. ive ben looking at a few on craigslist and ive come across a bunch that have replaced the moter and i dont want to have problemes. Can any body give me some info on the truck as in like if the moter are any good and what to look out for and stuff? And if the moters ae anygood? One of the post said a rod bearing went in his 04 and he had to rplace the moter, But tons of info would be great the pros and cons of the hemi truck 03-04 or new. Thanks.

And is there any power difference between any of the years? As in perfomance wise?

I have no problemes with my 04 HEMI, I LOVE IT. I have 130,000 miles on it. Can't say anything bad about my truck.

If you are choosing between an 03 and 04 Hemi, go with the 04. Tons more tuning options for the 04 as compared to the 03.

if your going to complaine about gas when you get it ....be warned the hemi likes to drink . i had a 04 hemi 4x4 was solid ran her rup to 35k i bealive . sold her for the 07 mega cab hemi 4x4. love it better because its a 2500 solid axel cheap to lift . 1500's are expensive to lift. motors are the same but i have more power in the 07 than i did in the 04. plus no egr valve in the hemi on my 07. one less problem. other than that the only thing people complaine about is the hemi tick witch i dont have .
