Default Hi/Low beam question HID

Hey everybody. I have VisionPro Bi-Xenon HID's in my 04 Ram, and after the install I noticed that the low beam is brighter than the high beam. I think that somehow, they may have been switched or something during the install, so I was just wondering if there is any way to correct this problem or if there is somehow the install was done incorrectly. Regardless, as it is right now the functions are very obviously backwards.

That sounds right to me. Mine are the same and thats not because they are more or less bright. They are the same bulb and the same light output. The only difference between the low and the high is the tilt of the bulb and because it isnt tilted as you think it should happen, you notice less light output. Mine do the same. Anyone with bi-xenon magnetic base bulbs will tell you the same. What can you do about it? Nothing but add Hellas on your brush guard or behind the grill

Ah that's strange. You can tell the difference in the line of light between the high and low as well...the "low beams" obviously shine higher and brighter than the "high". Not to mention my fog lights really effing bright as well haha. Oh well I will just keep blinding people lol.

Yep, good idea. Keep blinding so someone crosses into your lane and causes an accident and you get into legal trouble.

Go out there and lower your headlights so you DO NOT blind people. If you want to add projectors (retrofit), then LMK or do a search on the board. Ive driven home before usign just my fogs BTW. Thats just how well they work.

True HID lows look like this _____/----/------
True HID highs look like this /--------\

Much narrower on the sides and higher in the middle. Not sure how HID's look in stock housings? But they will appear dimmer because the light is shining further away from you than lighting up everythinga round you.

My 100watt Hella lights are barely brighter than my HID lows. When i turn my highs on, the hellas are almost a wash even at 100w!

I have/had the same issue. Just installed mine today. Thanks for the input weedahoe. Just out of curiosity, do you have hids in your hellas? My bulbs seem to long to fit right. Sorry about hijacking your thread athespen. Going to play with the hellas tomorrow. At 30', I should readjust my headlights +-3" lower...what about my hellas? (I live in town and the streetlights dont help)
