You flip the mirrors up by hand. Just go to a new car lot when they are closed and try flipping up the mirrors. They are really easy to push up.

really? they didnt make that a power option? i thought those were the "manual" mirrors. if you flip yours by hand do you still have the power option for the adjusting of the mirror glass?

Yes you still have the power heated option. They don't make one that flips up electronically. They all move up by hand.

Yea, they still adjust like the mirrors that you have in your truck now, just not up into tow position and then back down. But think of this, that is quite a bit of glass and plastic to be turning, so a motor might not work that well to rotate it.

ah ok. ive never seen one so i just assumed thats how they worked. cool then i dont need to change the control panel too, just bolt the new mirrors right up and off i go

Yup, they should just be a plug and play upgrade.

Anyone ever thought of pulling out thier mirror glass and retrofitting some reflectors or turns in the housing? Im thinking about it

Yeah but 270 for new glass just to have a turn is a bit too extreme. I was thinking more about taking the mirror (glass) out and dremeling a part of the back of the housing out and fitting some flectors or sorts in the hole and putting a PCB with amber LEDs behind it and wiring it up.
