Default MDS question

Hi, my wifes co-worker just bought a 2007 dodge hemi QC 4x4 and when he heard that I just bought basically the same truck (2006) he told her that the MDS system is set to cut out above 105KPH, or about 65MPH. Does anyone know if this is true and is this a standard setting? Thanks.

I think it is all based on load more than anything as it might be more efficient to run the V8 at less throttle than the V4 at more throttle. This is just hypothetical though so count me in on curiosity. Alberta for the win.

allpar dot com has good mds info. they say max mds cut in is 65mph (around 105 kph) but wind conditions will greatly change that. if you want to see if it is working slow to 95 (not into the wind). the tach will creep up 1 notch or so when mds cuts in.
