20" Tires Cheaper than 17" !!

Default 20" Tires Cheaper than 17" !!

So Im Looking at Tire prices on discounttire.com and I see that the 20" tires are cheaper than the 17" tires! How is this possible??

20" Tire Prices.....

17" Tire Prices..... edit: this link doesnt seem to work, but the cheapest tire is $156

depends on the tire. I see 17's from $78-176 each. There isn't all that much demand for a 20" all season radial - most people either look for a performance tire or an off-road tire, but do you know how much demand is out there for 17s? I've got 17s on my Jetta and my Mustang. I've got 16.5s on my truck though.

I've got LT265/70R17 on my R/C, S/B and i only paid like $83 a piece. I sell the michelin 20 inchers here at the dealer and theyre almost 3 bills a piece...i'll keep my 17's lol

Bridgestone/Firestone soon to release new sizes and designs for the 20" wheels.
