Default Dune Grapplers

So, I think my next set of tires are going to be nitto dune grapplers, 315/70/17's. I like the look of them, and the price is reasonable in my opinion, purchased, installed, and warrantied at $974 out the door is unbeatable! They look completely bada&& in my opinion!!

I actually ordered a set of these tires and they just came in yesterday, I am going to try and get them installed sometime today. I will try and post some pics.

Dont get them!!! They look cool and everything, but they are only made for sand terrain. If you use them elsewhere besides sand, you wont be happy with the kind of traction they give. If you want looks, then i would say get them........

I hear about 50/50 on this tire. Personally, I like it least of the Nitto truck tires.

They are made for sand and are great in that environment, but about half the guys with them swear they are fantastic on wet and dry pavement and anywhere else they go, along with having decent tread life.
The other half hate them, say they suck on road, in mud, everywhere but sand and don't last 30k miles.

So, I guess you guys can judge for yourselves...

I'm just getting them for the looks, the only time I am ever of road is at the dunes in the sand, and I have lsd's so in wet weather I feel I should still have enough traction no matter what tire I use really, and if they see any mud at all it would be like a puddle in the middle of a gravel parking lot lol. The snow is the only thing I was really worried about, but I think my driving and the LSD will help enough to offset the fact that they are not the best tire. I just think they look mean haha.

Yeah, they got that look that guys either love or hate:

The Dick Cepek Crusher is kinda the same way, guys either go nuts for it or can't stand it:

dont think they would do well in the snow at all, but cant be any worse than the stock tires dodge gives you. a good AT would be best for your needs, or an MT if you dont mind the noise

I dont really have any needs other than for just making it look nice... and again, the only offroad I will do is in sand, and I think I should be able to make it around in the snow just fine anyway with the LSD's... I did with goodyear hp's. Like I said, I am doing this mostly for the appearance, not for useability.
