can you sand smooth an undercover?

Yes you can. I had one on my last truck. I took it to the body shop and had them sand it smooth and paint it to match the truck color. I'm sorry I don't have any pics but I know for a fact it can be done.

how much did it set you back?

It was about 4 or 5 years ago and it cost $350.00 back then.
