put that and the Airaid MIT tube on my truck and noticed good things happening better throttle response MPG went up a little and was able to spin the big Mud Tires on dry pavement again with out flooring it.

Removing the Hemi Hat really helps the motor breathe better. The other end sort to speak is opening the exahaust up helps here is how I solved that.

Electric Cutout on the Hemi really makes it sound mean and able to make it Purr again when you have to.

I threw in a K&N. Didn't notice a whole lot, but I did it when the truck was new. I priced out stock filters and they were like $20, so a K&N will pay for itself over time. Cannot comment about MPG's but as of right now the way my truck sits. MPG's are not as good as stock with my tuner.
Airaid tube...I installed that cuz i got it used for $50 shipped. Noticed no difference what so ever. Stock Hemihat is not as restrictive as some make it out to be. Save your money and buy something else....just my .02

I know at my local O'Reilley's (sorry if spelled wrong) they have a K&N little comparison setup. It consists of a plexi box with fan's a tube and a ping pong ball. The box has a cutout for the filter and next to it sits a K&N drop in and a regular paper filter. You turn on the fans and pop in the paper filter and the ball doesn't float. Pop in the K&N and ball skyrockets up the tube and hits a stopper at the top so there is a noticeable difference in air flow. I love my DIY CAI mainly because I am in love with the load sucking noise it makes when I give her her drink for the day.

Put one my truck this past summer and got rid of that ugly air flow blocking air box. I noticed a improved acceleration and a slight increase in mpg. Only drawback I found was when you step on the throttle, it gets a bit loud........... but I like that drawback!

U know I was gonna try a (custom spectre CAI kit), but the diameter was different on the throttle body then the tubes that came with it. So, that didn't work. I'm content with my K&N filter for now. Eventually I will get a CAI by Volant. IDK what it is about them, but they just look like they are built better. Just my .02. LOL.

I've had the K&N drop-in since right after I got my truck. Got it at Autozone for a great price. I got it for the extra flow and now I will never need another filter!!!
