It's coming home tomorrow! Now how do I remove stuff?
I bought this truck last weekend:

(I'll post actual pics once I get it home, I'm sure this link will go dead before too long)
and after having the dealer fix a bunch of stuff and remove some stickers from it, I will be picking it up tomorrow night. This will be the youngest vehicle I've ever owned at 8 years old, I am retiring my 18 year old Dakota because I recently had a son and his car seat won't fit in the Dakota.
Couple things I want to change on it though that the dealer wouldn't do, and that's remove the fake stuck-on hood scoops and taillight covers that look like they were painted with tremclad, and remove the 4x4 badging off the tailgate, since the truck isn't a 4x4.
Anyone have any tips for pulling the hoodscoops without taking up paint? I've used a heat gun in the past to take off badging, but I know the 3M tape those things are held on with is tough stuff.

yeah, the scoops are pretty bad. Saw them off with some fishing line. Kinda like this-

nice truck, you got lucky and someone put the good wheels on it.
the guy who owned it before you must have been a major doosher... i mean come on... 4x4 stickers on a 2wd! WTF??
saw off those nostrils and "4x4" and you got a pretty nice rig

My only concern with pulling off the scoops and the 4x4 badge is the paint colour underneath may be different due to sun fade. But I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
I'm sure the scoops weren't installed when the truck was new or else they would actually match. Those look like the last owner(probably being a 2nd owner) put them on.
dont worry about fade you wont even notice it ....just give it a good claybar and good wax job.....use a good wax not mediocre....

The 4x4 emblem is on there because that isn't the original tailgate. That's at least an 06 (big ram's head isn't original to 02-03) gate, probably swapped to get the spoiler without doing any install work.
