looking at 2500hd quad cab with hemi?
just wondering how these are i haven't had a chance to go drive the truck i'm thinking of yet, just wondering if there are any problems with these or things too look out for? the truck will see towing duties in the summerand not a lot of use in the winter, trrailer is a 32ft travel trailer, 6100lbbs dry, hitch is 791 dry and has a max cap of 8600lbs. any info or input would be great thanks

it towes good, but could be better, some 4:56's would help out in the bottom end, but i never had a prob towing 12K dump trailers without any real probs, only thing i would recommend is new shocks, stockers just dont cut it, i ordered some bilstein 5100's and their FRIGGIN AWESOME, like night n day

I love mine for towing! I tow an ultra-light camper (around 5k total) and run in 3rd most of the time. My truck only has the 3.73's. I wish it had 4.10's at least. I run 33 x 12.5 tires and can cruise all day long at 72-75 mph. The only issue I have is the mileage. I get around 8 mpg when towing the camper. And the camper weight really doesn't matter too much...the frontal area is what really puts the strain on. The truck handles the cross winds with NO issues and even with the bed loaded with wood and gear (enough for a week) she doesn't squat too much. My camper has around 800# tongue weight.
I will second the shock comments. I installed some Rancho 9000XL series adjustable and with them on the #9 setting, I get almost no porpoising.

i love mine, tows great. i just really wish i didnt have these 3.73's still. i upgraded to bilstiens as well, great mod for this truck. although when towing my boat fully loaded or horse trailer i still avg about 10-11 mpgs. the only thing i would change about it is the gears. the 3.73s are pretty freakin lame.
