Default Power door lock issue update

The issue:

2003 ram 1500 Quad Hemi 4x4 Laramie

Pwr door locks stopped working w/fob and either door switch
Fuse ok and power to fuse.
Truck also has remote start which works through key fob( just fyi)
Also normally when locks worked, doors lock when reaching 15 mph.

The last dealer I asked said that it could be a module needs reprogramming and costs $89. Dealer also said I could not use a typical tester that would plug into harrness

What if I disconnect battery, does anyone think it will help? If so, how long should I leave it disconnected?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Eric

When it is unlock and you start in park and get to 15 does it lock then? If so then the locking actuator is good but if it doesnt lock then door actuator may be bad. I had mine in my drivers front door do the same. It would not lock with the switch, the fob or at 15mph.

Fob and door lock switches stopped working overnight. I have to use key to unlock door. Going over 15 mph doesn't work either.

Does anyone have any other ideas of what to do? Also, how do I remove power switch panel on drivers door?

Thanks,

Eric

to remove the switch panel from the door, just lift up on the edges of the plastic "bezel" that the switches are mounted on. There's just small tabs that catch around the perimeter of it that you need to pop out. work your way around it, and it'll come right up. I find that once loose, it's easier to lift out the back of it first, and when putting it back in, put the front in first. Then just hit it down with your hand to pop the tabs back in.
