My '03 2500 just turned 172000. The only thing under the hood that has worn out is one alternator and one A/C compressor. I'm hoping for 250k, wish me luck.

My '03 just rolled up 102K and runs like a top. However, since I only put about 4K/yr on it, I'd guess it might take a while to get to 180K.

I got 57k on my 05 4.7. No issues yet. knock on wood. I will keep it for a while. If I do get a new truck I will sell off the lift and go back to stock height.

if treated right and maintained properly i think it could last a long time im real **** about takin care of my vehicles so i shouldnt have any real bad probs i hope....maybe we should think about a tech sticky for the 4.7l just to have all knowledge in there to keep ppl aware of the dnagers of what not to do and help other with what to do cause there are alot of us that have these problematic engines....just a thought HAMMER? ill control if you do it i got control on my lowered one....even though it gets ot here and there and i gotta correct em.....

What maintenance should be done to a 4.7 other than fluids, spark plugs, air filter, and pvc?
