I hae 170 on my 4.7, and a friend of mine has the same on his 5.7. I bought mine with 144k last year, and he bought his with 150k this spring. His runs awesome, but mine is starting to feel tired, although it may just be underpowered, it feels alot better with O/D off.

mine will be over 100k by the end of the year (if she's not already). Still running like she did when I bought her at 50k.

I thought mine was actually at it's end recently. It was feeling extremely boggy, misfiring really bad, then it threw a CEL of misfire in cyl 3 so I did the first thing that came to mind and replaced the spark plug. Fixed the whole thing.

Basically with the 4.7s the ONLY bad things is the sludge issue causing oil to not get up into the engine. That's the people having heads/cylinders go on them.

Also the cheap radiators will gunk up and fail, causing overheat and cracked heads.

Take steps to keep the oil sludge free, flush that radiator and keep fresh coolant in there and take reasonable care of it, and it should last you a long time...

Nope, the Hemi's are the same from 06-08 with MDS. The 4.7L is different for 08.
