Default Power Wire questions.

Ok so I went ahead and made a power wire using the 4.7ohm 1/2watt resistor, and put that in with the male/female connectors so I could swap it in and out. So im starting to wonder if i did this right or not, here is what I noticed.

When floor the pedal, it seems like either the power has moved up to higher rpms, or the truck is double downshifting because it takes longer to get moving. I haven't quite decided which one yet. Its almost like there is a little dead space and then it takes off. Also it sounds like the intake is sucking in alot more air, i can hear it quite clearly with the windows up. I also noticed cranking the truck with the wire on is way different, it fires real quick and i can see the tach jump up really quick before it settles down. I also hear alot of air coming through the intake when this happens.

As of right now i have the power wire off and its just fine, none of these things happen, and Im leaving it off for now. I was wondering if you guys noticed any of these things? I thought it wouldnt be much of a difference at all if any. Anyways I'll get a second opinion later this afternoon when my brother comes over. Thanks for your input as always you guys are really helpful with this stuff!!

Are you sure all of those symptoms are there with the wire on and then not there when it is off? I mean, its not going to cause more air sucked in. Thats mechanical.
