My friend has a cut out on his camaro(400 CI) with a turn pipe down, sometimes the ladys dont like the smell of exhaust, still havent found out why

I tried a turndown on mine. Lasted a couple days and then I took it off.

Did you hard wire it in? like cut the end plug in and run it right to the battery?

yes i did i didnt want to mess with getting that plug through the firewall

Unless the cutout is pointing up towards the cab I dont think I would worry about gasses getting in. On the dmh setup I had the Y was pointed down already so there was really no need for a dump pipe.

I felt like it made it quieter and that is not what I was looking for from my cutout.
