Family Vs. Truck
I am struggling with the same problem. Now i have a 09 malibu for mileage, but lookin at 2010 reg cab slt. Truck has what i want but i also have 3 kids. Yea they are little now and wife says she is fine getting a reg cab because we have a dodge caravan, but am i making a mistake? I drive about 30 miles a day and dont really think i need a quad for everyday driving. Forgot to mention im trading in the malibu for the truck, so i decided to go for the 4.7 which is plenty power for me. or shood i man up and get the hemi? I do keep my foot out of it but test drove the hemi the other day and think i would be just getting in trouble with it.......HELP ME HERE GUYS!!!!!!!!

The 3rd gen quad cab lacks a rear center head restraint, lessened leg support in the rear center, front center position has neither a head restraint nor a shoulder belt. Also, overall the rear seating in the quad cab is very upright, and of course is short on leg room. The 3rd gen MC has excellent accomodations in the rear, however until the '09 model year the front center position was rendered useless due to the floor console cup-holder thing where your feet would go. Also, as is the case with the QC, no head restraint or shoulder belt in the front center.
Fast forward to the 4th gen, and we still lack a friggin head restraint and shoulder belt in the front center!! C'mon Dodge, how difficult is that? Or do you just not care about the safety of your customers? We are a family of 5, and always have an extra kid along. Also, I still don't understand the shallower seat base in the rear center position in the new crew. Is it just to accomodate the lame cup holder?
I've put off buying a new truck largely due to these shortcomings. However, I will probably commit to a new CC in 2010.
