We always had a Chrysler family twosome for most of the 11 years I was married. All except for the first year and a half when she had a Nissan Sentra and the last year and a half when I had a Cheby Z71. For a short time in around '98 we had a Chrysler Tri-Fecta, when I had a '89 Dodge Raider & '98 RCSB 1500 4x4 and she had a '98 Grand Cherokee.

Good little suv 4x4, that Raider was. Two door, Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 in it. Bought it new off the lot in '88 and had it till '98 when I sold it with 128,000 miles on it. Other than the A/C compressor burning out, it NEVER cost me anything over wear and tear items and routine maintenance...

Look seriously at the Journey, I just bought one for my mother. Traded in her Grand Caravan for it, the van was too big now that it's just her. The Journey is small enough for 'round town hopping and commuting, but big enough to take on a vacation without having to cram stuff in and feel squished the whole way there.

I got a couple pics of hers in the Journey section...

Yeah she wanted a crossover too, but after she drove the nitro for the second time after driving 12 other crossover / SUV's she came back to this one and it was the cheapest of all of them.

This is the wifes car or the "familly" car so the hemi wasn't really needed and I did not want to fork out the $55k for a hemi powered Grand Cherokee... As far as modding goes, I was told that if I touch her car I would not be able to "touch" her for a year.... Im no going to mess with it any, not worth it.

The murano was a fine car, had a lot of pep to it and was great on mileage but for what we needed it just wasn't working out any. We needed something that could haul the two of us, our 2 (110lbs and 65lb and growing) Labs, and possibly a kid for camping trips and just general familly outings and the murano couldn't cut it and my truck is WAY to small for that.

No the back seat was a good size but we ended up having to have one dog in the very back and one on the back seat. But actual sitting room was fine back there. Im 6'-3" 250lbs and I could sit back there just fine. But you add in camping supplies and both dogs and the room goes away really quickly.

Like I said, the Journey is a perfect size, still large enough to be available with 3 row seating, but a good bit smaller than a mini van. Parked next to my Grand Cherokee, the wheelbase and over-all length are almost exact.

Sticker prices on them were as low as $21k and topped out at about $28k loaded, SXT with nav/DVD, 240 HP V6, etc. Only one above that is the R/T, with two toned leather interior, etc. Like a sports car in a crossover body, LMAO!!!

A really nice SXT with about all but Nav/DVD/Rear back up cam has a sticker of a little over $25k, rebates of $2000 and the dealer has about $3k of play to work with. A LOT OF VEHICLE for around $20k!!!

Seriously, VERY nice crossover IMO...
