Gearing advice?
So I was in pricing out 4:56s and the guy at my shop told me that I should go 4:10s as I still drive a lot of highway.
Anybody shed some light on this? I'd like some jam off the line and up to speed but also need the truck to be driveable at highway speeds without too much mpg loss.
Thanks guys
Kyle

I meant to add that I currently have 3.55's. He said that with my wheel and tire combo 4.56's is overkill... I'm not sure there is such a thing when building a truck tho unless it's stick on chrome

What size tires are you running and do you plan onm going bigger? I would go from a 392 to a 410. Thats a waste of money IMO unless you can do it yourself.
I run 456s but Im also running 36" tires
[EDIT]I just seens the 355s so that is a good jump. If you are keeping stock 32-33" tires then I would stay with the 410s but if you are going bigger then I would certainly think ahead and get the 456s

the difference between the 4.10's and the 4.56's is only gonna be like 200 rpm. With my 35's I am at 2k doing 100km/h. At 130km/h I spin 2.5k. It works great as long as I keep it below 130 on the highway above 2500rpm she like to guzzle. IMO 4.56's just incae you plan on going bigger later on.
