Default ram ?'s

Hey all. this is my first visit to the Ram forum as I usually spend my time in the dakota section. I have a ? or 3 about a friends Ram. 1st, he has a 2006 club cab 4wd that is pretty much bone stock except for a soft tonneau and step rails. His wife is disabled and having a great deal of trouble getting in and out of the truck so He is thinking about either trading the truck or maybe just modifying it to sit a bit lower so she can get in and out easier. The truck is sitting on it's stock 20" wheels and tires, and he is thinking that maybe swaping to a smaller wheel and tire pkg. might drop it enough for her to be able to get into it. I know the brakes could be a factor in such a swap but I'm not real sure of the particulars. can anyone offer some advice and or ideas about this delima. We need to bounce some ideas on this. thanks for your help yall

And as a side note, I know it's like a mortal sin to even consider but does anyone have any information on lowering a 4wd ram???

I don't know about lowering kits, but I think you could just google and find out it they're available for 4wd's. You friend could lower it a bit just by swapping from the 20's to some 17's. How short the tire is will depend on if it can carry the weight of the truck and if your friend can stand how it looks.
