Will a 5.7 Hemi programmer work on both a MDS and non MDS? I'm thinking not but needed a heads up pretty fast.

i think so... for instance, i could use a superchips 3865 on my non MDS '03, but it could also be used on an '08 with MDS... i just dont get as many tune options as the newer guys do..
what kind of tuner are you talking about?

What tuner are you talking about? Most work over a range of years but something like the Edge only works on an 07.

It's a Hypertech that a guy had for his '04 5.7 Hemi. It's nothing I'm buying, just letting me use it and see if it works and if I like what it does.

Didn't read. Is there an upgrade for this brand or do we need a new one?

If it specifically states 03-04 (which is a little weird, normally it's 04-05), then that's all it is designed to be used for.
