Comp Cams Comparison
I found this info while searching around the net for cam specs for my upcoming cam install. Thought that some of you might find this info interesting if you are looking at some hard numbers about different cams, I know I sure did. Interesting to see that the 260, 268 and 273 are all pretty comparable until you get above 5500 rpm. The four pulls were done on an engine dyno with the only other mod being a set of LT’s.

That is what I thought too. Unless you are really racing your truck you are not going to see any benefit from going with the 268 or 273. That is why I am going with a grind off of the comp 260.

The 260 actually seems to be the best IMO. It makes more TQ than the 273, and more HP than the 273 up until 5,000rpm's. I mean, how many times do we really go above 5,000rpm's ? I am really liking the numbers on the 260 a lot. When you do a cam swap, is there anything else involved with it? such as lifters, springs, etc???
