Popped that code today, p0841 LR Pressure Switch Rationality. Transmission either wont go into gear, or have to build revs up to 2500rpm to get it to engage, engine is in limp mode, oh the joy. According to DF and the almighty internets, common causes are overfilled on ATF+4, clogged sump and/or trans cooler filters, or improper filter install. And guess what I did on Friday, Nov 20th, 2009... had the trans flushed, and new fluid and filters put in. Of course, this was done in FL, and I'm in NC visiting family and of course no tools and no one is open on the weekend after Thanksgiving.

 

The first issue I see here is you flushed your trans......Not the best idea.


Next time, just stay with the filter fluid change and adjustment (if applicable). I've seen too many transmissions leak out from crappy OEM gaskets.....IMHO.....Besides, the shops always use multi-purpose transmission fluid when doing it and NOT the CORRECT fluid.

 

Yep, my guess is they loosened some crud up with the flush and now it's clogging the screen or a filter...

 

That sucks.

 

Transmission solenoids and valve body are both shot. Truck got left at the mechanic in NC and I drove back to FL in my dad's buick *shudder* I miss my truck.
