Default Heater and Stereo Question

I have an 03' Ram 2500 Laramie with the dual zone climate control. My driver's side heat doesn't get warm at all. If I slide the side from cold to hot, the temperature changes from cold to luke warm. I thought I may have a heater core or thermostat issue, until I noticed that the passenger side heat blows hot. Now, I am leaning towards an issue with the blend door not operating properly. Before I get into the heater box to test the blend door theory, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue or if anyone can confirm that I am heading in the right direction to fix this problem.

I also wanted to know if anyone has figured out a way to put (2) 12" subwoofers under their rear seat and was able to acheive 1 cu. ft. of space.
