Default Winch Mounting in Bed....Anyone?

Has anybody mounted any sort of winch in their bed for pulling in quads, jetskis, lawnmowers, ect? I would like to mount this in the front of the bed to pull stuff up the ramps........

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95912

I would like to put some additional backing or something to beef it up. Any suggestions on mounting would be cool. Thanks.

Get a bigger one its not going to hurt. The only thing I can think of is you need to cut a hole down into the bed and make a box drill some holes in it so water can drain. The only issue I can see is the gas tank.

i had a 96 f150 that was a rank *** truck.. but i had a mount for the front bumper and in the bed or the rear rease hitch never really used the one in the bed that much except to use it as an anchor for hay bail or something.. it was mounted like how a ball would be for a gooseneck trailor except right before my toolbox.. my buddies grandpa was a welder and hooked me up with it

I want to mount it to the back vertical piece not the bottom "floor" if that helps. I want to just bolt it to the back piece as high as possible, but I am worried about it pulling to hard on the bed and denting/collapsing.

The winch should be plenty big, its only going to be used to pull things into the bed up a set of ramps........quad weighs under 400lbs, and up ramps the tension is probably less than 200lbs....

ohh ok well then you might need to have some brace made for it or something to mount to floor like how the gooseneck reese hitches are mounted so you can bolt it and take it out when you need to.. because i would think that the bed would dent and stuff...

Why not get an ATV winch then. They are smaller, cheaper and still for them in 2-4k lbs winches
