I know when it came to changing the fluids in my trans I used RP's ATF Max. Maybe you could use it.

i called the rp people today and they said their power steering fluid meets the same specs as atf+4 so they said to just drain the psf and refill with rp. do u guys think i should do that or should i just go get atf+4?

If they tell you it will be fine and it turns out their wrong I would think you could raise hell with RP and maybe get them to pay for damages caused, but I may be wrong.

i wouldnt worry about it... i use cheap advance auto brand atf+4 in my power steering. it would be a waste to use the expensive stuff because it just leaks it all out anyway...

When it comes to DCX and ATF, I use nothing else but Mopar ATF+4. We all know how automatic transmissions are, and anything you put in there other than the recommended fluid is a big gamble. This goes for out Transfer cases and power steering res. also. I'd flush that steering system out and put ATF+4 in. It's got to be cheaper than having to replace parts down the road.

if RP says it has the same specs as ATF4 then whats the problem? could it be any different than using some other brand of ATF4? i wouldnt think so.

after all this i just went with castrol atf+4.i hope i did it right- i took the ps cap off then went under the truck and pulled the 2 hoses off to drain it.after that i put the hoses back on then filled the fluid up till it was full enough so that it sat in the funnel and wouldnt go down, then i turn the truck on and turned the wheel back and forth about 10 times which burped some air and the rest of the fluid in the funnel went right down.then i filled it to the cold level - drove it around then topped it off at the hot level.i know i didnt get it all out and changed but its better than nothing.....i hope...... it does make a slight hum noise when turning the wheel but i only have 29k on my truck so i hope the pump isnt going already

Royal Purple Max ATF does surpas Mopar ATF+4 they dont make individual atfs just one and its exceeds everything except Dexron VI. Royal Purple is all i use in mine but i havent made it to the psf and i dont kno about which one you need for psf
