Advice/Help on Tinting Windows?
I picked up some window tint today and am going to give it a go i think... I bought Black Magic 2.5% Midnight Black.. Anyone ever used or heard of this stuff? I'm hoping its pretty dark.. I am just going to do my rear window and rear door windows for now then I'll have to decide if doing the fronts is worth the risk of getting a ticket... But I have sticker on and that stuff made putting my No Fear window wrap on a breeze..

It's.... meh.
It's chit for tint, honestly, I'd return it, it has a reddish hue to it. I could PM you a link to where I buy my film from online, it's roughly a dollar a foot. And you could buy a 30" wide roll and 25 feet long, and have enough to redo the windows if you screw up.
As for tips, hmmm for the back window, make sure the liner is facing out, check this by taking two pieces of electrical tape and putting one on one side, one on the other, and peel them apart. You wanna make sure you have it the right way, or else... Then spray the outside of the window, roll it onto the window, squeegee it smooth, then get a friend and verrry BRIIIIGHT light coming from inside to help you see the outline of the window, cut about 1/8 - 1/4 inch outside of the line you can see. Problem with Ram's is the back glass has a compound curve to it, so that's gonna make it a little more difficult without a decent film. anyways, then roll the film back up as you take it off the window.
Go inside the truck, spray and clean the window with a flat blade razor. Then spray once more, with a single squeeze of baby shampoo/1 quart water mixture. then peel the liner and apply, squeegee it out from the middle towards the end.
As for the doors, go inside and pull the door liner off, and remove the weather stripping along the bottom of the window, it'll make it easier to apply the film. Then roll the window down about an inch, spray window, put film over window, then take squeegee and squeegee the film flat, cut the top line right across the top of the window, then cut your side lines, peel the top of the film from the window, roll the window up, then cut your bottom line, about a 1/4 inch from the bottom of the glass. Go inside, spray window down, clean it with the flat blade, and do the same as you did for the back window to apply.
