Default Opinions on tranny upgrades for the 04 hemi for best shift points

I am looking for my best option to upgrade my shift points. Unfortantly on the 04 modile hemi's none of the tuners out there can change the shift points according to the tech guys at diablo >>> ( SUCKS!!!) Has anyone proven that wrong?? So now im guessing i need to do a racing TQ converter and a shift kit? For those that dont know im trying to make the truck fast and the truck is on a lot of nitrous and with the stock shift points when i keep spraying through the shifts the shifts r so long that the wet kit fluds the truck and it falls on its face after every shift.

So my question is will a TQ and shift kit help me with this problem or does anyone have a better idea or know of a chip that does work with the 04 modile?

Why are you spraying through the shifts?

If your running N20 consistently, then you will need a beefier tranny with extra clutchpacks etc. Sheradon performance sells them built for like $1800 plus core. Adding a TQ'verter and a shift kit will definately improve the driveability of the truck. You could try that first and wait out on the tranny causing any major issue before totally upgrading.

Foot to floor means spray all the time. I don't think he's using a push button like is used in some Dry shot app's that you may be thinking of????

As long as his foot is too the floor and above a certain rpm(if he's got a rpm activation switch?) then the N20 is being sprayed the entire time.

I dont do it purpesly but just sometimes in the heat of the moment racing someone i forget to switch it off between shifts ... I know thats dangerois and once i get the chip im going to set it up to spray on between certin RPMs ... Right now its on a full throttle switch with power switch ... so i have to maniauly flip the switch between shifts myself and idk sometimes you just forget to do it.

It won't be much longer and SC will release full trans control. That will take care of your shifts and then you can stack it with an SCT for a nitrous tune.

I dont spray it to offten ... mostly because of the way its set up at the moment and because i am worried about the tranny ... It allready slips a little when its cold in the morning ... idk if thats normal or not but i dought it lol ... ill pretty much go through 1 or 2 bottles a month if that and its on a 125 shot right now so it doesnt last very long.

But I have the comp 273 cams sitting just waiting to get springs retainers and a chip and once I have those in I will prob spray even less ... But im still going to have tranny problems!!

Have you been or do you have a TQ converter and a shift kit in your truck?? Does it make a big differnce in compairison to what a chip can do for the 05 modiles and up??

SC? Or did you mean SCT? ... They are coming out with a chip that will change the shift points on the 04s?? Do you know how long till it comes out?

ummm, they lied. frog and teach are too drunk to point out the obvious. superchips 3815 and superchips 3865 both have 1-2 and 2-3 WOT control on 04 hemis.
the 3865 will have full shift control of gears 1-5 up and downshift and different throttle positions after the new software is released. frog, teach and I are all beta testers for this new software, its the shiznit.

edit: truckin151 has a torque convertor. he may have sold one of his toes to get it, and seems like it was worth it. look up threads he's created.
