nitto dura graplers...are great..
Thiers a wee bit of blazzard in Calgary, southern alberta, I'm having zero problems with traction and handeling and I'm in 2wd with no whieght in the back.
Now all the othier 4x4 owners tearing arround need a shovel up side the head, and no, I'm not going to tow you out of the ditch when your drving like life is the indy 500, I have seen all makes of 4x4 in the ditch north of Calgary....

yeah its funny...here in minot, ND you usually see the 4x4's in the ditch, not the rear wheel drive. too many people think 4 wheel drive makes you invincible. it just means you've got 4 wheels spinning off the road if you drive like an idiot.
Good feedback on the dura graps. I've always thought Nitto makes a quality tire, regardless of which one you have (the trail graps will be my next set)

Yes, pics please. Im not too familiar with the dura grapps, just the terras....
I knew nitto for their drag radials waaay before I even knew they made truck tires. I actually found it rather odd, almost amusing, when I first saw a terra grappler in a tire store. Come to find out, they're all generally good tires... So I hear
Edit: I checked out the pics in your profile. Nice Truck. The tires are a little too straight-tread for me, but Im assuming you drive mostly highway, hence the tire choice (it does say "highway terrain" on the sidewall, lol). Still good to hear they are treating ya good, goes to show you don't need anything crazy aggressive to make it through.
Edit #2: I wasn't dare knocking the tires, just re-read and it sounded kinda assholeish. My tires are rather pathetic right now, but they are what was on the truck when I bought it......

All good... Thanks for the thumbs up on My TRuck.
The Dural Grapler is a outstanding off road tire when compared to the oem BFG R/T T/A, the tight tread compound of the R/T traps rocks, mud and snow, the open tread of the dural grapler provides a lot more traction and better ride and handeling than the BFG.
AT 80,000 KM my BFG were toast, working construction, I attracted nails and screws and the off road driving I did under take really wiped out the soft side walls on the R/T T/A.
Toyo owns Nitto, most Nitto Truck Tires are made in the US. My Nittos were made in Japan, I bought the rims and tires from Discount Tire.
The dural Grappler is designed for diesel truck owners who tow, this is a heavy tire built to handel the extra pounds of a diesel truck and the loads towed.
90 PSI is the maxuim air pressure rated on this tire, I run mine at 55 PSI.

The Dura Grappler is one of the highest rated hauling/trailering tires on the market. Not very good ratings for off-road, but their on pavement wear rating is one of the highest in the industry.
Specifically made for the diesel truck, over-the-road hauler, they are an extremely durable tire.
I personally know a guy who hauls those big, commercial roof-top type air conditioners across the country on a goose neck, who had gotten 80,000+ miles on his Dura Grapplers...
