I just moved up to North Dakota recently and am looking for some good snow tires for the wife's 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. It is a 2WD, so I am leaning toward getting some studded tires. The current tires are stock 245/70/17...not all season tires. Any suggestions?

This topic has been beaten to death pretty much as it does every late fall/early winter. Try to do a search and you should find a plethora of information...

screw tires you need sadn bags and allot of them
I agree on the weight. A few hundred pounds of sand bags in the bed will help quite a bit.
I'm thinking the studded tires would be more beneficial for ice.
