Default 17" center caps

I was just wondering with all you guys with after market rims on your trucks now, if anyone has any of the 17" factory center caps laying around? I know I can get them through ebay, but I'd be willing to have them picked up by FedEx if you're never gonna use them again. I'm missing a couple and really didn't want to pay someone with shipping $15 dollars for a center cap that's made with 15 cents worth of metal. haha If not, I'll just have to live with it. Or if anyone knows where I can get them CHEAP!

This thread reminds me that I have got to get off my a$$ and order a set for my Mickey Thompson wheels. The freebies they give you are steel (and no, not stainless) and are pitted to sh*t. The ones you get to pay for are 100% aluminium...

Thanks smk, I didn't even want to call the dealership. Everyone knows how they rip people off. Yeah, I haven't taken them off so I didn't know they're plastic. Cheap, cheap, cheap. lol I just can't afford the rims yet. Oh, well gotta do what you gotta do.

Hammer, are those the Mickey's on your Ram? How much did those run ya?

Yeah, 5 and a half year old Mickey Thompson Classic IIs. I paid about $125 each for 'em, but I got a source for cost on my tires and wheels and some other items like air bags. I've done the 'puter and network work for the same shop for about 12 years now...

Very nice. Hey, have you heard anything about Discount tires rims? They have the 17" rims for a hundred or so. You know if they're any good?

You just gotta check the weight ratings, some cheap ones can be weak as hell. I know the Mickey Thompsons and Dick Cepek wheels are among the strongest strength to weight ratios among aluminum wheels.
But you can get good deals if you watch. Wasn't long ago 4 Wheel Parts put a lot of Pro Comp wheels on sale for $75-$100. Perfectly good wheels, some rather nice looking, just not hot sellers...

Very nice, have to check that out. I'll keep my eyes out but if you see a sale there, shoot me an email. 4 wheel parts is about a 20 minute shot from me and they send me nice coupons since they put a body lift on my old Ranger. Thanks for the heads up. Preciate it.
