winter tune
So ive been running the 91 tune on my SC 3815. getting around 15 city 19 hwy
but with the winter here now i use my remote start alot and my 4x4 more.
Im considering dropping to 87 tune for now.
I figure since ill be idling more to let it warm up and since im using 4x4 my mileage is gonna drop anyway. So i figured i would save a few bucks on gas.
any thoughts or suggestions?

I wouldn't change it, no real reason to. Personally I always had a much better mpg from the 91 over the 87 using the SC3815, somewhere between 1 and 1.5mpg difference between the two tunes.
Now you'll be idling more/longer, in 4wd more, and with it much cooler out yes the mpg is going to drop from the 91 tune during the summer months to the winter months BUT the 87 tune is going to drop just as much with the same factors. So in all reality you really wont be saving anything in gas prices switching from the 91 down to the 87. Also the 87 tune was always a little more torquey than the 91 with the SC and I wouldn't think that you would want that on icey/snowy roads right (I dont drive on icey or snowy roads but more torque with less traction doesn't sound very good to me)?
