So today me and my buddie raced a little. Im not sure how far but i would say less than a quater mile.
By the time i got up to 100KM he pulled away a few car lengths.

Hes got the lowest model of them i believe. its his moms car,

I know there sporty little cars but comeon.
what would i have to do to be faster then him?

 

And also i forgot. When i was driving every time it shifts gears if im giving er. It sounds like a turbo winding up and then makes some weird sound.
Whats up with that?

 

Get superchips.

 

what type of gains will i get from a super chip?
noticible gains?
i would like to get all the quick cheap gains i possibly can before i have to start throwing down alotta money. such as turbo or something etc..

 

If you are serious about going fast loose the 20's

but things you can buy are
E fan, new Y pipe, CAI off ebay, Superchips, Then start looking at gears, headers.

 

you also need to keep in mind that you are driving a 7000 something pound truck, and he was driving a car that weighs much less. plus, our trucks have the aerodynamics of an elephant wearing a parachute.

superchips is a great option for more power. as well as the other mods oefootball already listed.

 

anyone have any links for good deals on these things?
i was thinking of lifting it..
but then i realized that i like going fast. lol.

what should i trade the 20s for?

It gets expensive when you go under the hood..

 

if it was the bottom line 300, then he also had the 4.7 and probably half the weight you do. i would think you'd have to do ALOT to beat him. but why bother? a full size truck vs a mid size car, that's not even fair to begin with. if you had a CTD or an SRT i'm sure he wouldve regretted joining that race. but to be honest 4.7s aren't meant to go fast. hell even the hemis aren't really meant to go fast, at least not against cars. that would be like a corvette vs a kawasaki. just not a fair fight... take pride in the fact that if he breaks down you can pull him to the nearest gas station. or if you need to move to another home you dont need to rent a moving truck. his mom's 300 cant do that
