Default Hella vs KC?

It seems like everybody on this forum has Hella's on their truck. Any reason why I should go for Hella over KC HiLites? I was looking at the 130W KC Daylighters. Thanks in advance.

most people go with the hella 500s because you can buy them for $50 or less. many offroad lights will work. im sure there are a ton out there that are better than the hella 500s, but not at the same price. just find some you like, that are within your price range, and im sure you will be happy with the results.

Ahh alright gotcha. Thanks. Planning on getting KC Daylighters or KC SlimLites with black rock guards on them. Has anybody on here mounted them on the actual bumper, in front of the grill? Pics would be appreciated. Or if anybody has a light bar on their truck I'd love to see pictures of that too. Thanks

I have the KC rally 800's and absolutely love them. You can see my pictures of the lights in the December totm pol thread. My truck is the lifted white 2500.

The only off-road lights I've ever owned were KCs. I loved them, but twas back in the late 80s/early 90's. I've not put a set on a truck since and they were basically THE light back then.
I agree, I think with the Hellas, it's because they are a decent light at a really competitive price. I think if you are willing to spend more money, there are better lights out there...

The Hellas are also very slim which makes for a good fit. I just bought a Hella 500ff kit on eBay for $45. That is a hard price to beat for a quality light. Some folks have also used the lights from Northern Tool. The are like $12 each or something ridiculously cheap.
