Hell bro, I feel ya. I couldn't roll down my window because it was frozen yesterday too. It didn't break, however.
All you have to do is remove the door panel, and take the plastic off. Then, you should be able to see the metal holder strip that runs across the door, if you cant see it move the window up and down until it's in the middle. Then just pick up your window(if it's lying in your door frame), and place it back into the metal holder. It just sits in there. On my 98 ram when this happened I just put two beads of silicone where it sits in the holder, so it could never freeze and fall out again. It is a very simple fix, if it just froze and fell out like mine..
If you actually broke your motor/gear, it's very cheap, and you can replace it yourself no problem. Just follow the steps above. It's not as hard as it may seem, I promise.
I was pissed when this happened to my 98, because it was winter, and I tried moving the window, and it just fell straight into my door. Damnit. So I brought it into my plant, took apart door, and just placed it back on the slider. Easy!
Best of luck bro

Yea, this is actually the 2nd time this has happened, it happened last winter, I fixed that no problem, it just slipped off the gear track, it was one of the back windows with out the auto down? (I don't know what to call it, buy ya know, if you press it back twice it goes down by its self.) and so I did that to my driver window and I broke something, I took the door panel off last night, and clamped the window up for now, but It still kind of ticks me off that I can't go through drive throughs now. Thanks for the reply

Hmm.. well, you could always do like I did. Buy some GE Silicone, and lay down a bead between the window and rack, when it dries it won't let the window go in any condition. Worked great for my 98. And if the window ever breaks, all you have to do is use a razor to remove the old silicone. Win win!

It's about 40 degrees here in Afghanistan. Been raining for the past 3 days so everything is nice and muddy. The only vehicle I've been driving for a while now is an Armored Humvee and they sure are fun to drive around in the mud! It's general knowledge over here that if you get a Humvee stuck you are probably an idiot. We are apparently going to get some snow at some point. Can't wait!
