Default Soon to have 6 lights behind the grill...

And I am wondering how yall think I should wire these bad boys up...

here are a cople options I am thinking of right now

1. Two per switch with the 2nd ones in on each side wired to the orange lights in the headlights so when I unlock of lock they flash too. and the other two running the insides with the brights and the outsides independent. (This is just when they can turn on, I will still have a switch to say no, too much light.)

2. All turn on when even (hook the "running" wire to the batter) and have 3 switches.

3.........idk.........

Any ideas or pointers running this many light? I have no idea how many watts my current ones are, but the new 4 are 130. Any help is appreciated.

Hooking to the "orange" lights isn't good idea. That means when you turn your parking lights on, the grill lights will always be on.

Now you can tap off of the anti-theft wire that triggers the parking lights. BUT, it would render the lights useless any other time unless you wired in an override switch. That would include a couple of relays and some nifty wiring to get it to work. I mean you could throw in 2 relays, one for the parking light trigger and one for a headlight trigger so they will only come on when the headlights are on and triggered by the parking lights which means any time the headlights are on, the gril lights would be too...... Just a PIA if you ask me.

Putting 6 lights behind the grill also cuts down on the flow of radiator fresh air. It just seems like it would since they are large and block quite a bit of space. Just something to keep in mind.

You can wire them a few different ways, but it all depends on how you use your lights?? I would wire One set up your highs. Wire the other 2 sets up to a solo switch that controls both. Use relays to hook up the switch to avoid electrical problems. Or you could run a set off the high beams, a set off a switch and a set of ambers off another switch?

Well right now the only set I have is on a relay and a switch. So I figure, because I didn't know anybetter, I hooked up the "running" wire to the battery and I get power whenever I want, so if I just moved that to the ambers if I left the switch in the on position wouldn't it just come on when the ambers did?

Any other pointers? Think my alternator/battery can handle them all at once?

My suggestion is if you want bright F'in lights....Upgrade the bulbs and wiring. Go 100watt bulbs. The difference is huge. If you wanted Ambers, keep the pair you've got now and upgrade the bulbs. Then have a Set of Ambers with 100w bulbs as well. That will reduce the need for a 3rd set of lights.
The 100watt bulbs went twice as far and were more than twice the brightness.

Whatever you decide to do, just make sure if you are powering 2 sets of lights off of one wire, that wire must be large enough to handle the current draw from 4 lights. I think seperate power wires that are fused individually is the best case here. You can use the SAME remote turn on lead as that is only a 12v signal for the relay to power on and transfer the power.
Figure out exactly what you wanna do and then PM me and I'll help you out as much as I can with wiring options.

As far as alternator....It's more of the battery you need to focus on. if you have a solid battery with plenty of reserve capacity then you will be fine. Stock Ram battery that i have is 150min reserve if I'm not mistaken which is pretty much top of the line for batteries.
They will drain your battery if left on for more than a minute or 2 without the truck running. Driving down the road you will be fine no charging issue's. 100w bulbs draws no more than 9 amps per bulb. Total of 18amps. Most guys amplifiers for their subs generally draw between 60-100amps. The E-fan mod sucks 40amps of juice all the time. Those guys aren't having charging issue's.

good stuff dirty

I run seperate relays for each pair of lights with ten gauge for the power and ground. No point in cheaping out on something you want to work for a long time.

Dirty they are 130 watt lights, is that better than 100watt?

Okie dokie, let me see

1. One relay for each set of lights
2. 10 gauge wire
3. One additional switch to run the two new ones.
4. Hook the power to the front of the fuse box for a cleaner more sleek route

I hid all of my wiring. Stealthy like ninja's.
