Couldn't you choose another type of auto transmission?
I mean, these 545RFE's are dogs in our trucks. Sapping much needed horsepower from an otherwise excellent engine.
Why would you want one of these transmissions with their robbing power losses and crappy gear shifts and the 2nd prime porblems, in a car?
You must have seen all the negetive posts on here about it?
I know you have a "lead" on one, but choose wisely grasshopper lol.
Just a thought.
Al.

I have a dodge ram 1500 year 2006 transmission 545rfe,what is the shift points and idle? Had transmission worked on now it stalls when the truck is cold. Did not have this problem until transmission was worked on. They changed fluids and that was it. Now having this problem. Any suggestions?

I'd go with either an early model A-518 or an A-727 with a gear vendors OD unit.
