Default smash...

Well i slid of the road last night and took out a telephone pole size tree but managed to miss the huge oak about a foot to my left. The front bumper and hood got all smashed up as well as some dents on the roof but other then that not to bad. Truck is still drivable and all but pretty banged up. Its at the body shop for about a week getting all patched up. Thank god for full coverage. about 4k in damage as of right now.
With that i decided to spend some cash and get a few other things as well. I just ordered a Westin bull bar and made my appointment for my Rhino spray in liner as well as a tint job on the front two windows to match the rears.
All in all im glad to be alive and safe...sh*t happens but oh well it motivated me to mod a little more.
Now all i have left to do is 35's with the level, fender flares and a train horn kit =) maybe some 4.10s idk yet.... and she'll be done.

awe man, sorry to hear about the wreck- but i'm glad to hear about the full coverage. I'm sure you felt a lot safer in your ram than a tiny *** prius or a SMART car! thats when that bad gas mileage is worth it. haha, I almost t-boned one of those things.. scared the heck outta me because I thought the poor guy was going to die. I love my rhino liner.. and those 4.10's outta make your truck run real good!!

Get some pics up when you're done!

the brown suited santa brought my bull bar today! =)
im trying to decide if i should put it on myself or let the body shop do it for me while they have my truck.
They want like an extra $40-$50 to put it on? is it worth it? from what i have read its a basic 1 hr install. That seems kinda high to me?
thoughts??

these dodges can really hold their own against telephone-pole-looking-objects, found that out personally. glad to hear you are ok.

I've heard that before.............somewhere...

yep, the bull bar is maybe an hour, hour and a half topps for you (with help) to do it in the driveway. Shop would be quicker, I'm sure, so lets say an hour.

Is $40-50 out of line for an hours labor these days? I don't think so.
Personally, I'd do it myself and save the cash, but at the same time, I don't think the price is out of line at all.

I got a buddy asked me to put one on for him not long ago, but I'm nursing a hernia and a partial torn rotator cuff so I passed. He ended up taking it to a local shop in south GA, where labor as a rule is cheap compared to most of the country and they charged him $145 for installation, now this also included wiring up a pair of spot lights, but by comparison, they are doing you pretty good...
