So I went through a big puddle the other day and now when I hit my brakes the peddle barely moves and kind of jumps around, I don't know how to explain it.. But when all this is going on, I hear a screaming noise coming from my engine, somewhere around the brake fluid resevior.. Like its choking/gargling. The fluid looks fine, and is topped off.. any ideas of what it could be?
I have a k/n cai.. And where is the servo pipe? I have an 02 4.7 if that helps, and the puddle wasn't too bad.. Maybe a foot, but nothing crazy
On your brake servo there should be a pipe going into it, about 1/2" dia, it should have a non return valve on the pipe somewhere as well. If the non return valve is working properly you'll hear air entering the servo as you pull the pipe out, if not that may explain why your brakes are hard.
Did you hit the brakes as you went through the water?
