I was looking into getting a PA speaker for my CB and I've been looking online for one and they are all around 12W speakers and I didn't think that it would be loud enough. What are your guys' wattage on your speakers and if you could give me a link to where you got it?

all you will find is 8 watt ones or 12 watt ones . law states CB's cant be more that 12 watt by law. i guess im breakin the law at 300 watts . i love modding my CB as much as my truck.

and for the record i had a 8 watt and it was loud.

 

radio shack has 2 different size pa speakers, both are less than 30 bucks and the bigger one is super loud i have mine mounted between the front bumper and the rail.

 

So rh. If I were to buy a CB what should I run. Really I just want a PA but if I need a CB well I need one to buy. So lets say I buy the CB what else do I need to make this thing have the PA function.

most CB's have pa plug inns in the back .5mm jack i think. so if you just want the pa get a little cobra or something cheap and use it for a pa , all you need is the pa and a mic comment is wrong. the cb adjust volume on the pa.
