its like a good .25'' think. it can be removed at home in your garage, it would just take a lil bit of elbow grease.

some are actually aluminum there arent many out there but some of the early ones are not clad....did buy an aluminum intake yet? if so you could get that p/c maybe not black tho throw some color under the hood......or maybe black chrome.....i know i shot you that link to a mopar knock off intake but i dont remember you saying you ordered one or not.....

Lots of guys have removed the cladding. It is a serious PITA, but it can be done.

I have the aluminum padels on my truck ... Anyone know why they changed from the aluminum to the plastic covers??

cost savings

steel is cheaper than aluminum and plasticchrome is cheaper than polishing aluminum

awe man... i remember that whole "rigamerole" about the true aluminum wheels and the clad wheels we had a few months back lol
