Default back up camera

I installed a XO Vision HTC 35 backup camera yesterday. I was surprised by the quality of the camera and the image. The camera has 8 infrared leds for nightvision and they work great. Here are a few shots of it. The first one is the location of the camera itself, a little touch up paint and it's good to go. The other two are daytime and night time shots (obviously). The image is very clear. I can see clear across the street at night! I know it looks like the whole neighborhood is lit up, but it's actually very dark. My neighbor just has one little 60w bulb over the garage.

It really sucks backing up with the lift and shell. I can lose an entire car behind me. Little econo boxes are completely below the radar. Not to mention small kids!

Cool! When I replace my head unit I'm definitely looking into something like this.

BTW, good luck at getting that hitch pin out, LOL... pretty rusty.

im jealous of that. last xmas my inlaws bought me a little cheesy wireless backup camera. it wouldnt be bad if i could hardwire the camera to the little monitor. or if i could see the monitor in any sort of ambient light, or from any angle other that exactly strait on. it picks up interference from everything, so the screen is mostly static all the time.

i keep it in the truck for now though, dont want to make them feel bad.

BTW Frog, you need to do something about that rusty receiver lock you got there. That thing could give a nasty infection and kill someone!!

Depending on how you route your video cable, I needed a 6' patch cable from radioashack. $5.
