Default Tire Comparrison

Has anyone here used BFG All-Terrain KO's? or Dunlop Rover M/T Maxx Traction? I have heard nothing but good things about All-Terrains, but the Dunlop is about the same price and is much more aggressive looking.

I'm leaning towards the Dunlops, you guys thoughts?

How are they on the highway, most of my driving comes from the interstate. I have been putting on about 20k a year and was steered away from the Nitto's for this reason.
Thanks

I just checked on the Coopers, and they or Mastercraft do not make a tire in 275/65R20 according to their sites.

I had the BFG A/t KOS in 285/70/17. I personally hated them. Not worth the money in my opinion, I was always having problems with gaining traction with them. I've got the destination m/ts now and so far been very pleased. The nice thing about the BFG's is their strength. I put those tires through so many nails and screws. I caught a sharp rock and the rock sliced the inside sidewall pretty deep but didn't do any structural damage to the tire. They'll put up with a lot of abuse but if you want a good traction tire, I'd stay away from em. If most of your driving is on road, then I'd get an A/T tire. I had the destination a/t tire and that tire was hands down the best a/t tire I've ever owned. Had them on a 2wd truck and I never once got stuck driving through miles of virginia clay and they were awesome in the rain/ice.

Thanks
Why were you "steered away from Nitto's for this reason"? Everybody I know running Terra Grapplers have gotten/are getting 60k plus out of them. You think you're gonna see that out of a set of KO's? The ONLY Nitto you should be staying away from would be the Mud Grapplers.

If you are putting 20k of highway miles a year on your truck, then the last thing you should be looking for is "more aggressive" tread!

A set of Mickey Thompson ATZs or Nitto Dura Grapplers are more the tire for you, IMO...

Well my job is kind of odd, I can be driving all over the state in the middle of winter to go to job sites, or just commuting between locations.....

I just looked at the Terra Grapplers and they are about 100 dollars more than the other tires.

Thanks for the advice. It's good to hear different protectives
