NO! You can only get so much out of those bars before your cv angle is too steep! anything more than a couple inches you need to do either suspension lift or body lift! I bought the keys, and the only difference was a heavier grade of steel, but I still had to crank the bolts almost all the way in to get it leveled

keys are a waste of money IMO. they do the exact same thing as just cranking the factory bolts, which is putting more pressure on the bars... why do people buy keys? they think that if they buy a "leveling kit" it will be better than what they already have which its not. SMKN is right, if you go more than a couple inches youre gunna eat cv shafts... i leveled mine (about 1.5" higher than stock) and my cv's are on the verge of being too steep.
you already gotta pay for an alignment and new shocks... why buy something else you dont need?
sorry... kind of a rant post

do a body lift... theyre cheap. or go all out with a sus lift

he already has a body lift, and at 1.5 in your cv's should be good! I have mine cranked almost all the way down a little over 2" lift and my cv's are still at a minimal angle. if any steeper I would not feel comfortable off road, but where I am now I have had no problem off road!

The torsion keys in a level kit are different than the stock ones, i don't know what you're talking about...

You take out the old ones, put the new ones in, and tighten the bolt back to where it was and it lifts the front of the truck up 2"+, so you can't say they aren't different at all. Also, I believe you have a problem w ur 35s rubbing, or did? I clear 35x13.5 and I just did a level with a kit...I'm just saying they obv aren't the same, but that's unimportant lol. Unless your rims just have bad backspacing/offset, but mine have none of one of those and like a 5" of the other if I remember correctly. but I ramble.

So to answer your question, yes you should be able to get more lift with a level kit since after the new keys you can still tighten the bolts more (ie.I only tightened the bolts back to where they were at stock height with the new keys in and it did the lift, so I could tighten them more)....However, as they said, it's going to kill your cv's and I don't even want to THINK about how bad the ride would be without new shocks lol. My shock relocation bracket didn't come with my kit and I am about to murder someone until I can get new shocks. It's pretty terrible. Also, you know that doesn't raise the back up at the same time, right?

Cheap beater I like you and I thought we were going to make babies and then you made fun of me for getting a level kit

well I can only speak for the keys I bought from rough country. I put theirs on my originals and there was no difference in the keys.

And Ice you agreed with me and did not even mean too, if your kit did in fact give you 2" with factory bolt settings, then the key was different, but in the end you have the same crank on your t-bars as someone with factory keys getting 2" of lift. Furthermore you and the guy with factory keys neither want to go past about 2" due to cv damage!

So to answer the OPS question, it is not necessary to buy the keys if he has already cranked 2" out of his front end. The new keys would not net him anymore height without tearing something up!

I was just saying that the level kit and just cranking the tb are different. Like I could still crank that bolt for more lift if I wanted to. Like you said, I agree w you that I wouldn't want to go any higher, but I COULD if I did haha. Like without the kit you can only crank that bolt in so much, so if you want more lift than that gets you (I don't know if you and cheap had to crank it in all the way to get 1.5" out of it where as I didn't have to move that bolt and I got 2.5"), you could get the level kit. I hope this makes sense what I'm trying to say lol.

i already have a 3" body lift and the rims are replica 20" srt 10 wheels no problem with rubbing at all but i did the tb crank add a leaf and the body lift. only reason i was asking about the torsion keys is because the back end is about 1" to 1 1/2" higher then the front. i was seeing if the level kit would allow me to get that extra 1" or so i needed.

ice- you can get 2+ inches with a stock crank.... i cranked mine all the way in just to see and i got a little over 2" but the cv's were hideous!

and i rub just a little on the factory mudflaps... you dont have them...

keys probably will lift a little higher, but they arent practical because you cant use them cranked all the way in unless you like replacing parts...
