Those of you with HIDextra kits & others with HID knowledge
So first need to give you some background info on my problem. I ordered the 6000k HID's from HIDextra and got the driving and fog light kits. INstalled the headlights no problem and then started on the fogs finally got them working for all of 20 minutes. Ever since then they have never worked inside switch says they are getting power but nothing comes on. I contacted HIDextra and for them to look at them I had to fill out a form just to see if they could fix them and then pay s&h to send them away and get them back which is @#%^ing stupid.
So is there a way to just remove the capacitor that it came with or is that a necessary piece to make them work checked my old regular halogens and they work as soon as you plug them in. With school work and hunting havent had time to really mess with them but school ended today and now I have some free time to mess around. So do I need the capacitor or can I just bypass it all together and they work or will that burn up my HID's
Also I have the problem of sometimes when I turn on my driving lights my drivers side does not come on but yet the high beam still works does anyone know what could be causing this problem.
Thanks in Advance

The fogs do not need a capacitor, the capacitor is for if there is a lamp out notification for those lights, and the fog lights dont have a lamp out indicator. You could remove the capacitor, I dont have one on mine, just the headlights need it.
These are the caps they sent to me to use on my 04. They plug into the ballast and then the bulbs into them. As has been said before, fogs dont need them, only the headlights. And if you have nothing working at all then I would take a ballast and go directly to the battery with it to make sure everything works as it should and then go for the real install.
The capacitors have nothing to do with the lights not working properly unless they are shorted out inside and faulty....doubtful... The HID ballasts are polarity protected so even installing the plug backwards won't cause harm. If you did get them working then you must have had the plug on correctly. If not, turn the plug around as Chryslers wiring is backwards from other brands. Try turning the plug around and see what happens.

I hope I dont have these same problems with my fogs. Ive yet to go get them "turned on". My HIDextra headlights flicker every now n then, and most of the time I have to turn them on/off/on before they both fire up completely.
Let us know what happens, hope it ain't anything major.

I have an 07 with HIDextra fogs and head in 10K...the fog lights were extremely easy to install, all plug n play. The heads requires a relay, which, with the directions sent to me by Michelle was very easy also to install, just finding a good spot to mount and hide ballast/wires was the hard part. My heads also have the rare flicker, but they just flash once then are good, and I also have the rare turn on/off/on issue to get both to fire up, but I think we just have to live with it. For the price of these kits, I can't complain. The quality of the products and the customer service provided is very good. I do have one complaint though..both of my kits and even a replacement bulb I ordered all had one bulb with a stain on it that affected the color output. When I ordered a replacement headlight, it came after almost 2 weeks, and had a stain on it and wasn't even the same color as my other light. When I was told I had to pay shipping back and then probably about 3 weeks to a month to get another bulb (the whole shipping process) I just was not satisfied witht that. So I decided to deal with it for now and deal with my fog lights not being exactly the same color as well as my heads....but overall, I would still give this company a 9/10....just a few nicks here and there that should be adjusted...
